Ripping with XLD on macOS and converting with xACT. Dummy happy with that purchase and now I can download all the music I can imagine while maintaining a well above necessary ratio.ĬD Ripping: Some cheap ass LG external disc reader I copped off Amazon for $20, works perfectly tho. Haven't found a good app for iOS yet and Vox is garbage imo, so I'm really pullin for that FiiO M11 right now.ĭownloading: Private tracker with a seedbox slot I rent for $30/month with 3TB of storage, pimp s***. Listening: Swinsian on macOS, I've tried like 10 other programs and none of them suited my needs as well as this one. I also got the app Meta just in case I want to manually tag anything in bulk, but I got that before downloading Yate so kinda wish I didn't pay for this one lmao Although its shareware, its worth the registration - loads fast, scans folder structures for new additions and handles massive iTunes libraries with ease. Just got Yate too so I'm trying that out for tagging as a fallback, it's got hella features god dam. Almost all my apps have the dark theme set, and switching back to Swinsian is a pretty intense contrast as I listen mainly in a room in the evening with low light. One of the features I am missing is a dark theme. Tagging/Organizing: Mainly the command line utility Beets.io, which pulls tags from MusicBrainz and organizes me s*** into nice folders sorted by artist and album and renames files/folders appropriately etc. Swinsian can be used on any Mac running macOS 10.8 or later. I'm a brokeboi so my setup looks like this: ![]() You may still wish to do this for sound quality reasons. ![]() Swinsian has the advantage that is supports flac and DSD formats (dsf and dff), so there is less need to create temporary files than with my iTunes front end to HQPlayer. Hit me with your setup, like headphones, speakers, DACs/DAPs, etcĪlso what software do you use for listening and managing your library? 1.2k Junior Member Posted JAttached please find my Swinsian front end to HQPlayer. Recently I've been getting into FLAC and all that s***, I wanna hear what you guys all use for your music. About Swinsian Swinsian is a music player focused on playing and managing your music. Also think the label audiophile sounds kinda pretentious but it is what it is I guess Not sure if this is the right channel for this but don't think it fits in music really. ![]()
